My Thoughts On It
So, I got my very own first wrinkle the moment I celebrated my 32 birthday (shocking, I know)! Most women experience them even sooner, for instance, all my friends got their first fine lines around their 27-29 year. Guess they all drew the short straw and I was the lucky one of the group? Yay me!
Either way, this cream can be used by those who are anywhere between the age of 40-75, which is a large group in my opinion. The cream came out on the market 4 or 5 years ago, after reading a few reviews on MakeupAlley, I decided to try it and I’ve been hooked on it for the last 10 months (spoilers, I already love it!)
How It Performs?
Once you look into its specification and claims online, you will easily stumble on the following:

Now, the first thing that a person spots when they use this marine oil is definitely it’s luxurious packaging. It comes in a sturdy & feminine green & silver jar, and it stores 100ml of product, which is exactly how much I need (especially for its hefty price point).
But the thing that shocks me, even more, each time I reach for it is its pleasant fragrance!
Once you remove the lid, you will literally smell and feel luxury! The product is filled with mimosas, rose, and Padina Pavonica, which is Latin for Mediterranean algae.
Mimosa is an anti-inflammatory ingredient that also feels very soothing on the skin. Roses are also calming while feeling very delicate & they smell super pleasant. Padina Pavonica has outstanding anti-aging benefits for mature skin.
Big Claims
Now, even though the claims are quite high, I believe that they are justified. The cream feels soothing, high-end, and it does work since I do feel it firming my skin. A few of my friends tried it out and it seems to work great for African American skin too. However, during the review, I am not too sure if the 14-day mark is true since I didn’t spot my results as fast.
For me, the biggest change was around my second month of using it. But the thing is, I truly believe that you need to be really committed, and you have to use it on a daily (which I accidentally forgot once or twice a week).
Besides this, I would also like to point out its ability to moisturize your face! It is so smooth, dewy, easy to apply, and it leaves you with that ‘glow from within’ type of look, which is a must, especially during the Summer!
Lastly, the 14-day mark claim may be true, but for those who are in their late fifties maybe? The results may be more visible on you if you have more ‘material’ that you wish to cover up and to erase.
How To Use Elemis Marine Cream?
This is a gel-like texture, so don’t be afraid of its thickness when applying it. Use it every morning as your moisturizer and apply it evenly around every part of your face. You should apply the product onto cleansed skin by making tapping motions over the face, neck and decollete area.
Make sure you always use upward stroking motions, (this is very important) if you want to give your skin a youthful appearance. No reason to drag the skin downwards because you are trying to fight the gravity, you know? So remember: upward motions are a must.

Yes, Elemis is worth the money, in my opinion. Here’s how I see it… If your age group is anywhere from 40-70 and you feel like your skin is slowly becoming wrinkly and visibly older and this is bothering you, why not purchase this cream?
Sure, it is quite expensive and its price point can be so hard to justify, but it truly does work, and you will see the results in 2-3 weeks. Not only that it fights fine lines, but it also deeply hydrates your skin and gives you a youthful and brighter complexion. If your skin is dull & dry, as feeling like it is getting worse every day, then I recommend giving it a purchase! It will boost your collagen production and will give you constant moisture!
Once I apply it I can easily go for 10-12 hours without feeling dried out, or without looking dehydrated. In the end, it is all about someone’s personal preference, but for me, the Elemis Pro-Collagen Marine Cream is a staple.
